MECHANICAL CLAIMS (NON-UK)
It is a general legal requirement that the manufacturing of all physical products containing music is subject to
an appopriate Manufacturing Licence and it is the responsibility of the company or individual
commissioning the manufacturing to ensure that this licence is in place.
Most Mechanical Royalties are processed automatically in the country of manufacture.
If such royalties are not forthcoming, then you can manually claim mechanical royalties if your music
has been featured on a magazine cover disc, a compilation album or been officially released on
CD, DVD, Vinyl or even Cassette through a recognised major or independent record label.
